R Kelly is so dangerous that a hotline has been created for him by one of his alleged victim.
The parents of Joycelyn Savage, who is reportedly still with Kelly, have not given up on fighting for their daughter. They now started a hotline for his alleged victims and told Mic that “they have been in contact with at least 80 women or parents regarding allegations against Kelly; most of them are afraid to speak out because of his fame.” The “R. Kelly abuse hotline” launched on Tuesday.
Jonjelyn Savage, Joycelyn’s mother, said, “One reason I feel that he’s been getting away with a lot of the allegations for the last two decades is because people feel he has money and power and they don’t have the resources to fight him.”
On the hotline, people can leave a message “detailing their allegations and offering tips.” Jonjelyn Savage will screen calls “to filter out prank calls or calls from fans defending Kelly.” She will review the messages and reach “out to individuals who have possible leads that could be further verified by authorities.”
Back in May, R. Kelly addressed accusations that he is holding Joycelyn Savage in a sex cult. He claimed the parents are upset that Kelly declined to work with them, “The singer tells us Joycelyn’s father, Timothy, tried getting his attention through Joycelyn about herself and other relatives he thought could have a singing career.”
TMZ continued, “When that plan didn’t pan out, Kelly says Timothy fabricated stories — including sex cult tales — and demanded money. Kelly also points to Joycelyn’s mother, Jonjelyn, getting upset that Kelly’s backup dancers didn’t use Jonjelyn’s dresses for his tour. Kelly says Jonjelyn owns a clothing boutique she was trying to get off the ground.”
On May 23, Joycelyn’s father filed a police complaint claiming R. Kelly’s manager threatened to kill him and harm his family.
R. Kelly has not responded to the hotline. See details on the hotline below:
